Heidi Schroepfer MS, ATC, SA
Practice Care Coordinator
Heidi is originally from Ghent, MN and moved to Vail in 2016 for the Athletic Training Residency. She then moved to Arizona where she was practicing as an Athletic Trainer in an Orthopedic clinic before moving back to Vail in 2023 to take on a full-time position as an Athletic Trainer for Dr. Hackett. After a few short months working as an Athletic Trainer, she then became the Practice Coordinator for Dr. Hackett. Heidi received her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from South Dakota State University and then went on to earn her master’s degree in Exercise Science from Middle Tennessee State University while working as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Women’s Volleyball team. Heidi enjoys working out, gravel and mountain biking, skiing, hiking, traveling and visiting her friends and family.
Sarah (Hart) Froman, PA
Physician Assistant
Sarah was born in Yarmouth, Maine and moved to Colorado in 2004 where she joined The Steadman Clinic’s Breckenridge office (no longer open). After graduating from the University of Vermont, she began her career with The Steadman Clinic as part of the front office team before being offered a position as Dr. Hackett’s Practice Coordinator. In 2011, Sarah moved to Denver to attend PA school at Red Rocks Community College. Following this, she moved back to Vail, CO to rejoin Dr. Hackett as his PA-C. A vital part of the team, Sarah assists with surgeries in the operating room, helps Dr. Hackett in clinic, and also runs her own PA clinics.
Lukas Rhoads, PA
Physician Assistant
Born in Tipton, Missouri, Lukas moved to Vail, CO in 2015 to work with Vail Summit Orthopaedics for 2 years before deciding to join Dr. Hackett’s team in October of 2017. As a physician assistant, he assists Dr. Hackett with surgical procedures in the operating room, helps with Dr. Hackett’s clinic, and also runs his own PA clinics.
Amanda Leitch MS, ATC, OTC
Athletic Trainer
Amanda is originally from New Hope, MN and moved to Vail in 2022 for the ATC Residency. We are pleased to share that she recently joined our team following completion of her residency this summer. Amanda pursued a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2012. She then moved to the East Coast to earn a Master of Science in Human Physiology from Boston University. She worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with a variety of teams including, Club Men’s Ice Hockey, Swim & Dive, and Softball. Following graduate school in 2015, Amanda accepted a full-time athletic trainer position at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. For the past 7 years, she had the privilege to provide care for the Women’s Soccer, Women’s Tennis, and Women’s Lacrosse programs. Amanda was promoted to a Senior Athletic Trainer in the fall of 2021 where she oversaw the Sports Medicine departmental policies and procedures, acted as a mental health liaison between the Department of Sports Medicine and the Department of Counseling and Human Development, and worked as an American Red Cross CPR and First Aid instructor. Amanda’s duties include assisting in Dr. Hackett’s clinics, assisting in the OR, and assisting with MRI reviews. Amanda resides in Edwards with her fiancé, Meredith, and enjoys stand-up paddle boarding, skiing, and anything outdoors.
Erin Clem
Practice Care Coordinator
Erin was born and raised in the Vail Valley. She went to college at Mesa State University in Grand Junction, Colorado and received an associate degree in Radiologic Technology. In 2006, after graduation she moved back to the valley and took an x-ray job with The Steadman Clinic. After a few years she became the manager of the x-ray department. After 18 years in the fast-paced x-ray field she wanted to spend more time with her young children. Erin joined Dr. Hackett’s team in June 2024. She works part time from home and her duties include setting up image reviews, HA injection authorization/scheduling, patient care paperwork (FMLA, Short-term disability, letters of medical necessity, and more.) Erin resides in Eagle, Colorado with her husband Travis, daughter Tatum and son Hunter. She enjoys fishing, hunting, glamping, wake surfing and spending time with family.
