If you have an office visit co-pay for a specialist, you will be expected to pay that at the time of service.
If The Steadman Clinic is NOT contracted with your insurance company, we will expect payment in full at the time of your appointment. We will print out two receipts, one for your records and one for you to send directly to your insurance carrier.
Financial responsibility is yours, regardless of insurance coverage. Health insurance is a contract between you and your insurance carrier. You are responsible for making sure you are using a network provider and that the proper authorization has been obtained, if needed. You should contact your insurance carrier for explanation of coverage and benefits prior to receiving services. We will do our best to help explain benefits, but it is your responsibility to make sure services are covered and to determine what your financial responsibility will be.
If you have an outstanding balance you will be expected to pay something towards that balance on every visit and /or set up a payment plan.
Surgical patients who have insurance that is not contracted with The Steadman Clinic will be contacted by our Insurance representative who will collect a pre surgery payment.
Workman Compensation patients must provide all pertinent information such as insurance carrier, the claim number, the date of injury, adjustor’s name, phone and fax before the appointment is scheduled.
